A surprise visitor from the Land of the Rising Sun

Spring is finally here, and with it came our good friend Kotaro. I'm sure many of you remember him, always smiling and eager to learn, a true gentleman. Kotaro was our first exchange student from Japan who taught us so much about the wonders of his homeland and its inspiring culture. Interestingly Kotaro didn't actually arrive from Japan, he flew in from New Delhi in India.

I had the pleasure of spending most of the day with Kotaro during his visit to school, he came to visit 02 and was asked many questions about his life in Japan, he even stayed after the lesson to demonstrate his origami skills, beautiful animals made from paper.

Last Sunday Kotaro flew back to New Delhi to spend another week with his father, who has worked in the city for many years, after his holiday he will jet off back to Japan to continue his studies at his technical university, I'm sure we will see him again in the near future. (Nick Cusack)

Nečekaná návštěva ze Země vycházejícího slunce

Jaro je konečně tady a s ním dorazil i náš dobrý přítel Kotaro. Jsem si jist, že mnozí z vás si jej pamatují, vždy usměvavý a nedočkavý se něčemu naučit, opravdový gentleman. Kotaro byl náš první výměnný student z Japonska, který nás seznámil s mnoha tajemstvími jeho země a její inspirující kultury. Zajímavé je, že Kotaro k nám nepřiletěl z Japonska, ale z Nového Dillí v Indii.

Měl jsem tu čest strávit s ním během návštěvy naší školy většinu dne. Navštívil třídu O2 a studenti mu pokládali spoustu otázek ohledně jeho života v Japonsku. Dokonce zůstal i po hodině, aby ukázal, jak skládat origami, překrásná zvířata z papíru.

Minulou neděli Kotaro odletěl zpět do Nového Dillí, aby strávil další týden se svým otcem, který ve městě mnoho let pracuje.  Po prázdninách se Kotaro vrátí zpět do Japonska, kde bude pokračovat ve studiích na technické univerzitě. Jsem si jist, že ho opět v blízké budoucnosti uvidíme.
